The San Antonio River emerges north of downtown San Antonio and flows in a southeastern direction through the county. A “wagon wheel” freeway system encircles San Antonio, aiming to make freeway access more simple. Several cities sit within Bexar County, including Converse, Live Oak and Sandy Oak, in addition to such towns as China Grove and Hollywood Park.
