I have used Finsanto numerous times for repairs but my experience today blew me away. I stopped in around 3:45 with no appointment because I was having trouble with my rear lift-gate window that I was afraid was going to get worse and result in more damage and more money spent on repairs. Frank came outside himself to see what the problem was and then spent the next half hour fixing the problem which as it turns out was a relatively easy one to fix (well I can say that because I was mostly watching...LOL) but one that I could never have fixed myself because I don't have the proper tools at home. When I asked him how much I owed for the impromptu repair, he told me I owed him nothing. That's the kind of customer service that keeps people coming back when serious repairs are needed. I really appreciated the unscheduled help.... Major Hasberry

Finsanto is nothing but a false storefront housing lying, manipulative "mechanics." They lied to me about fixing my car because just one week later it broke down and I had to pay again to get it "fixed. for the problem they were supposed to have fixed. I wouldn't trust this shop with my car ever again and will not be visiting them. The family that owns this shop lies, and cheats customers out of money. What a sorry excuse for a business.

This was hands down the best service ever. Knowing nothing about cars, I'm an easy target as you can imagine, for all sorts of shenanigans when it comes to auto care. I went to Finsanto to check my potential misfire problems plus the SES light...they scheduled me for first available appointment but then called to say to just bring the car in for a look right away. Frank made time for me,did the diagnostics and discovered it was a loose hose from a cheap oil change (told you I was an easy target). He fixed it right away, checked everything else out and charged me nothing!!!! so to those who say they are expensive I say they are customer oriented and fair!!!! will only go there from now on. Best service ever, I'll recommend them any time.

Finding a new mechanic is always a tedious process for me. I practically grew up in a body shop and had a father that taught be how to do all basic maintenance on my cars. I cannot stand a place that will talk down to me or try to dupe me. I usually go into my mechanic having a pretty good idea of what is wrong but don't say much until they tell me their ideas. Anyone that talks down to me or acts like being a woman disqualifies me to know anything about cars, immediately gets crossed off my list. This was not the case with Finsanto. I do my research and Finsanto seems to be getting great reviews no matter where you look on the net so I had my eye on them for my next mechanic since my move to SA. My check engine light came on one afternoon. I had had some symptoms that I had researched around this same time which lead me to believe that it was my map sensor. I went in and spoke to James who did a quick computer scan that basically confirmed my diagnosis. I was going to be out of town for the next week so I made arrangements to leave my Volvo there so it would be done by the time I returned. It is important to know that I have an extended warranty on my car. It is suppose to be the best of the best so I was SURE the repair would be covered. After many phone calls and a very upset James, we found out that because it was a wiring issue not the map sensor so my warranty company would not cover it. James was very upset with the warranty people and made multiple phone calls trying to get them to agree to the repair. He worked very hard, took pictures of the problem, explained that it was not my fault due to poor maintenance, etc. No luck... but he tried very hard to advocate for me which I really appreciated. He even apologized to ME for yelling at my warranty company. In the end they rewired a good portion of my car in the engine compartment and I paid around $300 which I thought was a steal because that included a diagnostic test. And actually... during the course of 3 conversations, the price went down each time! I don't think that has ever happened! We did a "worse case scenario" quote and even that sounded reasonable considering what was going on with my car. This is family owned and operated which also makes me feel better about giving them my money.

Have brought my vehicles to Finsanto quite a few times over the past couple years, overall have been satisfied with the quality of repairs. Customer service has always been great, but could never get over the feeling that I was spending more than I needed to. Perhaps it's my overall impression of car repair places that makes me feel that way. Anyways, after having repairs done there, I never had to bring my vehicle back for the same issue...so that in itself is a plus. Good service, but pricey repairs.

one word. AMAZING. These guys really know their stuff. They helped me fixed problems other nation wide chain shops couldn't figure out, and at a great price! Its very fair to both parties. I love Finsanto and will be back for all maintenance and repairs as long as I'm in San Antonio. Frank and Wayne are some great people. If you need something fixed, Finsanto is your place.

One year ago, I had my brakes fully serviced under warranty at the dealership. I took the car to Finsanto for a routine oil change. They called, suggesting I needed to repair my brakes and belts. They called me back a few minutes later with more bad news about systems/parts that needed replacing. The total amount was over $1,200 that they wanted when I only needed an oil change. I refused the service, took the car to my neighbor who is a service manager at a local franchised dealership. My neoghbor had his guys do a full diagnostic service on the vehicle. He called me a couple hours later to pick it up...they found nothing wrong, and even mentioned what great shape the brake rotors and pads were in.... But the new Finsanto building is very nice!

After suspecting (audible noise) and confirming (ruptured ball joint) a problem with my ford truck, I went to Finsanto automotive over the weekend to assess and repair the problem. I explained to the friendly service advisor the issue and requested an estimate for my vehicle. I was very surprised when I received a call with an estimate of $1600.00 to virtually replace the whole front suspension of my truck. I picked up my truck, purchased a new control arm w/ ball joint for $44.00 (w/ lifetime warranty) at Pepboys and replaced the unit my self in 1.5 hrs. Noise is gone and it drives great. Now I will have it aligned and I'm good to go with 1500.00 left in my pocket. Take away- always get a second opinion for high estimates for auto repairs. Shame on those who attempt to take advantage of others.
